Every puzzle is White to move and forced mate - mate in one to begin with, mate in two once you get going, and the positions get busier the further you get. Three minutes, three mistakes. A wrong move ends that puzzle, not the run: you are shown the move you missed and dealt the next one. Every answer was proved by exhaustive search before it was written down, and every puzzle has exactly one winning first move.
